EVOS

Inspired by the ambient music of Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, and Hiroshi Yoshimura, EVOS was created as a new way of interacting with generative music.

EVOS is a sequencer, sampler, and audio looper based on four channels of audio playback. The electronics are based around a Raspberry Pi computer running custom Python and PureData software. The interface allows for users to interact with generative ambient music in realtime through a grid of capacitive touch controls, OLED displays, and visual feedback provided by LED lights.
